I'm not a huge fan of using Open Carry as a political statement, but this has me very proud:

This was from the SLC marathon yesterday. Gino, U D Man!

If nothing else, I'm impressed he's voluntarily adding all that extra weight.

Looks like some less-lethal options on there as well. Makes it harder for antis to vilify him. "Oh, he's just looking for an excuse to shoot someone."

love the tactical granola bar holster.....ill have to remember that for my next tactical outting :D

Don't see people trembling with fear either. Did he finish?? Would love to see the across the finish line photos of him.

:) I thought the same thing. I'd chew on a forced march...but never on a run...just couldn't.

Have to admit, that's pretty awesome. I honestly bet the vast majority of people were happy to have him there.

That's not just a sheepdog. That's a Kurdish Kangal.

Perhaps this sport of running may be for me. Open carry, chewing tobacco, pink sweatshirts....

I probably OC about 50% of the time. Sometimes it is just very lazy CC, not a dedicated OC holster. I have started seeing others in my state OC as well. Still never had a problem and people don't seem to mind.

OMG! A man with a gun at the marathon! See everybody running away! Er, running... er... call 911!

Seeriously though, I wonder what type of 'conversation' must have occurred with the event staff during his registration.

And I'm betting this pic will NOT be used during any of the bombing coverage.

what i noticed about the photo was he's wearing a t-shirt and everyone else is wearing long sleeves and coats.

well, that was the 2nd thing i noticed
