The bluing on these is really much deeper and black looking than the pictures show. It looks like I am going to have to make a light box so I can take better photos.

Somebody post a high polish "Carbonna Blue" picture. And I'll cry, as I once owned a Clark Bros. custom 1911 with that finish. It was the most beautiful pistol I've seen. I've had sellers remorse and can't believe I did such a stupid thing as sell it. Not only was astoundingly beautiful, it ran as well as it looked. Those old boys at Clark's can build a 1911 as well as anyone among the several custom 1911's I've owned.

If Clark was still offering their Meltdown service on customer guns, I'd have a gun like WC's no matter what the cost was. You see tons of pictures on forums and there are surely plenty of amazing pistols. But nothing comes even remotely close to that gun! True legend right there.

That's a sweet pair of Colts you've got there, alienbogey. That Python looks like the cylinder has never been turned, is it original?
