I stopped by Gander Mountain in Ocala FL Friday night, and they have shopping cartloads of ammo. They were a bit short of .22LR, and there was no .44 SPL, Makarov, and 327 Mag, but otherwise, there was more than you could want, and most of it at pre-panic prices. (For some reason, I can only post one photo, but there were several aisles of full shelves.)

Last week, Evansville Indiana's looked the same. Just left Aces in Western Kentucky and it's fully stocked with all but .22lr. Even had a healthy supply of primers and powders. Finally found win748!

The Gander Mountain in Houston on 290 had a ton of ammo in every caliber except .22LR. No where near pre-panic prices though... Maybe pre-panic for Gander Mountain, but I've always thought they were very high priced.

So it's come to this...photos of factory ammo replacing photos of guns as a something to be ogled and admired.

The Gander Mountain in Fredericksburg Va. had shelves full last week. They had a bunch of Remington 22lr in 50, 500(?) and buckets. I didn't look for any obscure calibers, but they had 357sig and 10mm.

I work at gander and we got quite a bit on are truck this week also. Not nearly as much as that store but probably 300 boxes of .22, bulk 9mm and some others. Hopefully it keeps coming...

Our two Cabelas stores here in Denver seem to have lots on the shelves, but not .22lr - that goes out as fast as it gets stocked. If I catch it in stock, I'ma get me some too.

I used to pick up those 250 round UMC bulk packs of 9mm for $40 or $50 on a weekly basis. Wonder what they want for those now...

Shows how things have turned around almost 180 degrees from 6 months ago.

The closest Wal Mart here stocked up on everything but 22LR this past Thursday but being stuck at work a day before pay day I thought I would miss the boat. So I went Friday morning before work and they still had plenty of everything. I almost didn't believe my eyes. 6 months ago the shelves would have been bare in an hour or less.

Bird hunting season is just around the corner. Now would be a great time to stock up on shotgun shells at sale prices. (Of course if some of you ignore hoarding, er prepping er, shopping wisely at sale prices you will have something to whine about on THR when the next Banic hits).

As for 22 LR's supplies of them is going to be short for sometime to come as folks like me intend to do some serious stockpiling when prices drop enough.

I stop at that Gander in Ocala on every trip to the hunting camp (always need SOMETHING). They've been great on ammo for several months now - same as the one in Lake Mary, FL (just North of Orlando). Bass Pro & Wally's are still a joke around here.

I'm starting g to see at least a few boxes every time I stop at my local Dunham's. I even found a box of Gold Dots today! Damn, I almost jumped for joy in the middle of the aisle!

Walmart is great for .357 .40 or .45, but I haven't seen a box of .38, .22 or 9mm there in a year.

Went to Ray's Hardware in Dallas today to pick up some .380 for my wife. The salesman told me that he could not sale me any ammo unless I purchased a new pistol. I thought he was kidding and he pointed the sign out to me. :cuss:

Stopped at Wal Mart no .380, but did pick up 100 rounds of .45 for $42.99 so I didn't leave empty handed. They have a sign that says, "limited 3 boxes per customer a day."
