I understand this is a custom pistol from Sig and is limited in production. Does anyone know how many are being made and how long will they be available NIB from stores?

These have been out for quite a while. I didn't know it was limited edition.
The Equinox isn't produced in the SIG Custom Shop and is only limited in that they don't make as many of them as they do of other 220 models.
It is in their regular production line and the differences it offers are mostly cosmetic...many people like the contrast of the polished surfaces and the nickeled controls

The reason this crossed my mind is that I'm wondering if I should get this gun first before it disappears or if there is that chance verses getting another gun first.
You realize that all you have to do to make an Equinox is polish certain surfaces and nickle the controls, right?

No I didn't but with my luck and lack of skills in this area I would mess the gun up if I tried that.
