Anyone know what the normal turn time is on an order through these guys? I ordered a blem lower on 31 Dec and its still showing "processing".

Also, what can I expect from the blem lowers? Figured I'd order one and see what their product is like since the price was a good deal.

They aren't fast shippers at the best of times, and it seems to be worse with the holiday order volume. I ordered some lowers on December 27th that haven't shipped yet.

I placed an order on December 23rd that I received on the 6th. seems to be about the norm with them.

From my experience with PSA, they're not fast but they are reliable. I'd imagine it would be a little slower even with them catching up around the holidays.

I ordered a lower from them about a week before Thanksgiving (pre black Friday sale). I received it at my FFl on the 12th of December. Took six days from when I received shipping notification to when I received it. They are without a doubt THE slowest shipping company I've dealt with. I ordered a LPK and trigger from Joeboboutfitters.com on a Thursday night and had it in my hands the following Tuesday.

The blem upper I got from them last year was perfect except for a few off color spots inside the receiver.

My last order with PSA was placed on December 11th. UPS first tried to deliver on the 6th of January (I wasn't home to sign).

The blem lowers I had purchased earlier this year were near perfect. One does have a tiny scratch on it, but I couldn't tell you if it was like that in the shipping box, or if the FFL did it as he slid it across the counter to me. But, for $77 delivered, including FFL transfer fee, it doesn't really matter to me. I bought it as a blem, and I'm totally satisfied with the product overall. Besides, if I never scratch it, I'm probably not using it enough.

You are usually looking at around 15 days. Longest wait Ive had with them was about 1 month for an upper assembly. People that complain about shipping times (not pointing at anyone here) need to learn a little patience or just go and buy off the shelf from a local business. Remember the days of mail order? Two weeks to 1 month from when you sent the order was about normal.

I've ordered from them numerous times and items usually say "processing" for 2-3 weeks (but they charge your credit card almost immediately). Then the item arrives several days before I get the notice its shipped.

PSA's shipping is weird and slow, but always reliable.

I would not say PSA shipping is reliable. They frequently ship you wrong items or missing items, but they have great customer service and will make it right as long as you can get hold of the customer service. Phone wait time is almost impossible and slow on returning emails. The fastest way to get response from PSA is AK47.net IM.

I placed several orders from right before thanksgiving right up through December and most took a week or two. I don't enjoy waiting forever, but the wait is part of the fun for me. As far as the blems go my lower looks perfect. I couldn't find any flaws.

Thank you all for the info. The blem lower is going to the same dealer that I got my suppressor from. I sent back a change notification for my suppressor paperwork back in December so when he does call, I hope its for both...........;)

I think they are also in the process of moving their warehouse so that may influence shipping times...

I've ordered a LPK and a full auto profile BCG in late November and early December. Received both pretty quickly, I'd say within a week of ordering. I just ordered a lower receiver and guess I'll be waiting a while on that. Not too much of a problem though…it will probably be another month before I can get the funds to get an upper.

Their email customer service has been nonexistent though. I've sent a few emails with questions about a price and a problem with my first attempt to order a lower receiver and have never received a response. That would be my only complaint.

A word of warning on PSA blemished lower. There are numerous complaints at AK47.net that PSA ships blemished lowers with inadequate protection and sometimes just dump them in a box with no protection at all. My FFL also said he received lowers from PSA for several different customers in the same box and sometimes with no packaging at all. They become real blemished! I ordered 2 blemished lower before and they were fine, actually I can't tell where the blemish is, but I will not order anymore until they fix their shipping department.

I've had no issues with PSA's packaging. The blem lowers I ordered last October were in individual bubble wrap bags, and the box was filled with stiff crumpled paper. Uppers have arrived safely between two layers of 'egg crate' foam in a box, inside another box. Lower build kits have been packed adequately as well.

Hmmm... I just read part of the thread linked above. Maybe they ran out of bubble wrap bags?

I ordered some ammo from them once...took quite a while to ship compared to some others (such as Sportsman's Guide).

FWIW, I've ordered almost everything AR15 I've bought from PSA.

I have ordered 5+ blem lowers... They have always been packaged well (individually bubble-wrapped, etc). Same goes for my other orders. In fact, if anything I would say some things have been ridiculously OVER-packaged.

I've never had a problem with PSA delivering what they promised... Usually when there is a shipping date or window posted on their site, they've hit it. Admittedly, though, they just barely hit it - that is, things went out the last possible day to meet their promised ship window. But, hit it they did.

I think PSA has one of the best value propositions out there for their customers. In my experience, they have a very good product at a very reasonable price. For that, I'm willing to wait and tolerate some of the bumps in the road that come with buying from them (in terms of timing).

No. They've always sent me exactly what I ordered.
Not my experience. I had 4 consecutive orders received within 3-4 weeks, 1 order was actually someone else's order but shipped to me. 2 orders had missing items. 3 out of 4 had issues is way too many that I have never experienced with other vendors and now I always check and count my orders as soon as I receive them. Their shipping department has little QC and better check what you receive. If anyone ordered their PTAC 1:7 uppers during the holidays, check the bore, there is a batch of rough bores on 1:7 twist uppers. No intention to change the subject here or restart a bad bore thread, but I want to warn other buyers on this forum. I am not going to provide AK47.net forum posting links, very easy to find them at the PSA sub forum. Again, PSA has excellent customer service and will take care of you but you need to be the QC and let them know there is a problem within the 30 days period.

they tell you it will take a couple weeks when you order it my last order said 2-3 weeks for shipping and it shipped after a 2-3 week wait.

Ok, mine shipped Thursday that was ordered on Christmas. Should be here Monday.

Giddy with excitement! Now just need to find a lazer engraver.....

Seems strange how you can order items from so many various internet retailers, and many will ship the very next day, but in the case of Palmetto State Armory, it seems like 2-3 weeks is the norm.

What is it so many of these other retailers are doing correctly to get orders out quickly, that Palmetto just can't seem to understand?

shakes head ....
