Or unless you want to save $150 for a gun with equally stellar reviews.
That depends on what you are paying for CZ's. The 75B is $499 in my area, and the P-01 is $550 - $575, PCR's are harder to find. The full size Canik's at Buds are $429, that is only a $70 difference, not $150 as you say.

I handled a Canik recently, and was very impressed, but I'd want s steep price discount compared to CZ to buy one.

Own both the 75B and the P-01... both are excellent, dead-accurate pistolas!!
For me, the 75B is a bit large for carry, but that's me. If size is a factor, I'd go with the P-01 or the PCR...
either way, you won't go wrong! As mentioned, both of these are alittle hard to get and a bit pricey... BUT they are both 'keepers'!

I ran a box of Fed Champions and a box of Blazer Brass through my 75B; this one is just a sweet range gun, I wouldn't hesitate to carry this one in Condition 2!

Academy sports has the L120 for $350. That's a pretty big fall from the $500 CZ. After taxes the L120 is $385 and the CZ75B is $550...the lightweigh CZ models tend to go for more. Seems steep enough to justify buying the Canik to me.

As I said I own and love both but the Canik's price point is noticeably lower. I'm impressed with the quality and the finish is actually better on the L120 than on my CZ75B.

Thanks for all the feedback on your preferred carry method. Yesterday, I discovered that I will not be required to shoot from a concealment holster as part of the CCW course, but a holster will be used to practice drawing with an unloaded firearm.

Anyway, my thinking was that single action would allow for a more accurate first shot, so I was already leaning toward cocked and locked. I just didn't know if I would catch flack from an instructor for doing this with a gun that lacked a grip safety, but now it looks like it will be a non-issue as far as taking the course.

Thanks again.

I conceal carried a fullsize Beretta 92FS for 3 years - 365 days of the year (even in the summer). I no longer do it, but it is doable. Comfortable? You get used to it. But doable. Yes
