16" CHF CL 1/7 5.56 PSA upper (FN barrel)
Troy fixed rear sight
Aimpoint Pro w/ Larue mount
BCM BCG and buffer kit
Raptor CH
Magpul STR
Battle Arms selector
Geissele SDC
Spikes lower

What do you all think? The thing eats any ammo I put through it. Very accurate as well

Thank you Sir. I was expecting to have some issues with it being it was my first build, but it has been absolutely flawless. I jumped on the upper when AIM Surplus was selling them for $300. Honestly, with the specs on the upper, I was expecting something not to be right but it was perfect in every aspect.

Nice first build:cool: when i decided on my first ever ar build, i decided it would be an old school build:)

Looks great for your first build. My first AR15 was a bit more basic and very old school but still very satisfied with the results.

Very nicely done, nortncom. All the features you need (with the exception of a sling and a light) and nothing you don't. Very basic but that's the best place to start.

Now, tell us why you picked the parts you did over other choices, what you expect the rifle to do for you and what you plan to use it for

I'm curious what the final cost was for a build like that. I have a S&W M&P with the same magpul hardware and aim point. It's a $1600 gun.

I've always heard how much you can save building your own.

Nice rifle :D

I think my cell phone camera is a little better than yours and I've already been badgered into no longer posting pictures both here and at AR15.com. Good luck :)

Mike

Once I saw the picture on a computer I realized how bad it was. I'll post some pictures tonight with a real camera to redeem myself.
