Can anyone provide times for recent paper Form 4s?

Silencershop's atf wait times for suppressor form 4s aren't fun. :/

I submitted one on 10/25/13
It went pending 12/28/13
It was approved 6/29/14

I got one at the end of may it took right at 8 months

I was hoping that we should see a speed up in paper form 4s since eforms went down but they haven't even cleared out the system from before the shutdown as yet.

My last paper Form 4 got caught up in the shutdown; but it went pending on December 1, 2014 and the stamp was received June 30..

There's no telling. I put in several Form 4s at the same time and there is almost 30 days between when the earliest one went pending and the last one. Only the one has come back so far. Other people went pending a month later than mine and got theirs approved a month earlier. You just have to look at it as force majeure.

The chart on NFA Tracker is starting to get a little depressing. For a while, it looked like the wait time on paper forms was really diving, but the bulk of the reports now seem to be staying between the 240 day and 270 day mark.

My most recent was right at 8 months too.

I'm currently @ 7 months, 3 weeks - I see by The Silencer Shop's ATF Wait Times, I'm now in "the window"?

Local shop owner sent in individual paper forms 8-20-2013, got stamp 6-26-14 (took 10 months, 6 days).

We were surprised when another person got his eForm back in 4 months, 1 day! We were guessing around 6 months for his eForm due to the backlog.

I have two e-form 4's still waiting for the ok just to authorize the transfer of my first suppressors to my dealer; I haven't even started the ppw for them yet Not to mention a Form 1 I sent in late March; per ATF, they are expecting approval as of Feb 2015 on that one.

I just got a Form 4 and a Form one back a little over a month ago and they were both a few days longer than 8 months. Mailed both of them on 9/3/2013.

Finally got my stamps!

Sent in 3 paper Form 4s at the same time - all dates below reflect all 3:
Mailed to ATF: 11/15/13
ATF Received: 11/18/13
Checks Cashed: 11/21/13
Went Pending: 1/17/14
Stamps Approved: 7/31/14 (8 months, 2 weeks, 2 days)
Stamps Received: 8/8/14 (8 months, 3 weeks, 3 days)

Apparently all 3 applications stayed together thru the system - all were approved by the same examiner, and all 3 stamps arrived together.

I sent one in March 16 of 2013 and received in April 5-6th of this year. I know thats not very "recent" but its the last paper form I ever used and hopefully the last one I ever will use.

I recently received a E-form back in 118 days back in June...I am hearing they have been even quicker since Eforms has come back online.

I went to a dealer to discuss a .30cal can and he said he does not do E-forms, he doesn't trust computers. WELL I am going to visit another dealer who does E-forms. I am not sitting with nothing in my hand for 8 months with my money tied up because he refuses to accept technology.

There is no Form 4 on eforms and not likely to be one until sometime next year since the bid to "fix" the problems with Form 4s and eForms doesn't close until mid-October. Paper forms are all that is available for Form 4s now - so it is still faster to do a paper form now than wait until sometime next year for eForms to have a Form 4 option.

Still waiting on multiple here. I'm past the 12 month mark now from purchase date on one of them, which of course is frustrating....

Is that a purchase from an item the dealer had in stock or did he have to order it? if that's from an in stock item, that is way long and sucks.

It was a Form 3 from another dealer to my dealer then a Form 4.

Ok that makes me feel better, Just last month I had my dealer order a Specwar for me so I figured it would be a year or so

I mailed my form 4 February 14, check cashed on the 21st. I picked up my Sparrow this morning. It was approved on August 10th.

So, six months and one day turn around time. I am surprised I got it this fast.
