I think the LCP Custom would be great. I have not tried one yet since I have invested in so many holsters for the first and second versions.
I don't think the sights would snag for back pocket carry but I think they would for me in a front pocket.
The Boot grip is also made by Hogue and has the gel inside like the stock one. I didn't notice a difference in recoil. It is a little slimmer and shorter and less tacky so your clothes don't grip it.

The Taurus 605 is a .357 which gives the option of .38 special instead. It is the same as the 905 except for the caliber. Charter Arms makes a 9mm revolver but it has a hammer. You could try a boot grip on your LCR it is smaller and smoother so it might work better. Here is mine.
I shoot in Bloomington or Peoria and have a LCR .38 and a Taurus 605 you could try if your local. I'm not planning on selling or trading, just trying to help. I wouldn't mind trying out your 9mm either. I also have a Glock 26 and a Ruger LC9S Pro if you want to try a semi auto.
This is the latest LCP with real sights and supposedly an improved trigger. I have not tried it but Ruger is always out doing the older models. I could shoot mine all day, it's all in how it fits your hand.
At the Normal, IL Kroger last year it at been robbed at gunpoint twice so they hired an off duty cop for security. It happened again and the cop shot him several times, turned out the dude had a BB gun and was later found not guilty by insanity. No charges against the cop but his dept let him go...
