Candidly speaking, I can go into most "novelty" stores in any major urban center and get a replica badge for ten bucks (Price may vary based on location). I'm not giving my pistol to anybody. Far too many variables in a very confusing situation.
Besides, if someone knows you've got a gun...
Just my $0.02 but I'd go with a the widest bona fide gunbelt (NOT a heavy leather "work" belt.) you can fit through the belt loops on the pants you wear most. Wearing an actual gunbelt makes a world of difference. Be sure you match the belt to the belt loops as well as the belt slots on the...
Throw everything in the truck and head for high ground ! I'll admit the likelihood of a flood is minimal for me as we're sitting around 1800 ft with not much higher that us. Everything drains away from us. If things got really serious then its off to our bug out (undisclosed) location.
I used to carry a copy of my "Pistol & Revolver license" in my wallet. I carried a copy as the paper the PD printed them on was thin and flimsy and a copy was lawful.
I used past tense as we now enjoy Constitutional carry.:neener:
That is one freakin' huuuge wristwatch. (O/T I know, couldn't help myself)
Yes proper grip always helps. I use what looks like a big coil spring with a handle on each end. if you hold it horizontally with your arms straight and move it with just your forearms you'll have forearms (Which give...
I recently took a trip into NY state to visit with an old shipmate of mine. It was bad enough just being in the state but into NYC ? Haven't been there in almost 40 years. No desire to return.
OK obviously YOU want a crossdraw holster. :neener:
What I've learned so far is different folks want mostly different features.
The single most important common feature mentioned is a sweat shield. Doesn't mean I'm putting one on every holster I intend to make but certainly as an option...
As someone who grew up on the Great South Bay of Long Island NY back in the '60's I have treaded up more than a few bushels of cherrystone (small) and quahog (large) clams. Never heard of a butterclam but hey you're on the other side of the country.
We never used really sharp or particularly...
Tinnitus is no joke, its serious and accumulative you young'uns may have dodged a boolit popping off a few rounds but I'll tell you the ringing never goes away. I don't know exactly how bad my hearing loss is but its mostly in the high frequency range.
For me it was straight pipes on the bike...
With the Hornady Custom loads the recoil is firm. I actually prefer the Federal 165gr Hydra shock low recoil rounds with the .45acp barrel. When I put the .410 snake slayer barrel on and feed it with buckshot it's a fistful of fury.
The boot grips help taming the beast.
Just got a set of boot grips for my Bond Arms derringer. Here she is with a .45acp barrel & new shoes. The medallions are "hobo nickels" I bought separately for the grips and are hand carved. E-bay and Etsy are good sources. A word of caution, the more detail the more $$.
