I have an M&P 22 compact that I like but I have three magazines now. I often carry it in a holster in the mountains and I have used a couple different holsters. My magazine release will be inadvertantly touched and the mag will release, thus dropping the mag on the ground. Ive lost two while...
My muzzle loader is sighted in with heavier sabots. I believe they are 350 grain. If I use 250 grain there will be less recoil. My son will use my muzzle loader next week. He is 12 and quite small. We only have close shots, under 80 yards. My question is this: how will the POI change in 80...
I took it to a local gunsmith recommended by a friend. He thought he would fix it for $30. I told him to smooth out a trigger a bit while he is at it. I didn't want to send it in to Springfield if I could get it fixed for that cheap here. I will let you know how it goes. I told him of the...
I have a Full size SS Springfield 1911 Loaded 9mm.
Quite often when I fire, the slide return will return forward only to stop about 3/16 short before it is in full battery. At a recent trip to the range, it did this several times per mag.
When I work the slide manually, it generally...
I removed the spring and detent, put them back in, careful to have it straight. The safety still rotates too far, and if I push it back and forth (using the space on the sides of the receiver since the safety is too big as mentioned above, which is normal) the safety won't always disengage...
...The safety doesn't have any positive click when going on and off safe AND will rotate about 360 degrees.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
*Also, I just noticed that if the safety is pressed all the way to one of the sides (given the play mentioned above) the safety won't disengage...
I have three Glocks.
1) Gen 3 G26
2) Gen 4 G19
3) Gen 4 G17
I would like to buy extra recoil springs for them. MidwayUSA does not indicate Gen 3 or Gen 4 Wolf springs. I thought Gen 4 springs were different. Yes or no? Do I just buy Wolf Springs for the model (ie: 26, 17, or 19) and not...
Going to sight my ML in next week. In my state, only a 1x scope is allowed.
1. Do I use a 1x scope? If so, which one?
2. Do I use a red dot scope? If so, will my BSA (chinese) Red Dot hold up to the recoil?
PS: I don't have any iron sights on my ML, but I do have a mount and rings...
1. Mount/Rings: I need to scope my S&W M&P 15. Given my experience with my DPMS AR-10, I thought I should get some kind of extended mount. I also want to be high enough so the front post sight does not interfere. I was thinking about the Burris P.E.P.R extended one piece mount/rings. ($80)...
I have a DPMS AR-10 which is a bit heavy after two or three days of hunting. Currently I use a 5.11 2 point sling (VTAC? perhaps). It has no padding. I will use this sling with my much lighter AR-15.
I would like the following for my AR-10:
1) Two point sling
2) Quick...
My Brother in law is selling his Ruger Target model with laminated thumb hole stock. Heavy barrel. Blued. What is the value of such a rifle in 95% to 98% condition. No scratches.
Criteria:
1. Quality in looks and feel
2. Writes well or takes refills that write well
3. Cap must fit snug on both ends (not like Tuffwriter)
4. Not too large. I need to use it professionally & carry in shirt pocket (S&W Military seems too large)
5. Under $30
As I have been looking, I now want something with a BDC. I am looking at the Leupold Long Range reticle. If I can't find one for a good price, I may go with the Burris Ballistic Plex.
In looking at the picture of their 3 point sling, I can't tell that it actually connects to the forend of the weapon. I assume since it is a 3 point sling. Can you tell me? Are their three point slings like other 3 point slings (ie: connects to the rifle at the stock and the foregrip)
I have a DPMS AP4 .308. I will be carrying it hunting elk and deer. I often walk 20 miles in a day; therefore I need something comfortable. I would also like to be able to change the position of the weapon once in a while without much hassle.
Criteria:
1. Probably 3 point sling but open...
...Which mounts?
1. I must be able to see through scope without seeing front sight.
2. Quality mount with quality screws (I often find some screws of poor quality & the strip)
*Since I'm new the the AR world, feel free to give me any advice regarding necessary add-ons, accessories, etc.
