Sounds like he was trying to tick/drive off any competition for said firearms. Either way he seems to be a jerk.

    Common Sense Ain't So Common...

Much like my experiance a while back with a TSA white shirt. I placed my bag and flight case (airline pilot) on the X-Ray belt and he suddenly called for the belt to stop. He then asked me, "What weapon is in this bag?" pointing at my flight case. "None" I said. He grabs the case and...

    Unintended Consequences of HR 218.

Hr 218 allows for active and retired LEOs to carry CCW Nationa wide IF they maintain LEO firearms qualification. IL department, from what I here, are not too keen on helping retired LEOs maintain their firearms qualifications. So... HR 218 appears moot re Peterson.

    Flying With Firearms Question

Yes for MOST airlines. It must be in the "original" factory box or simmilar type (the rounds must be seperated from each other). Loaded magazines OUTSIDE of the firearm are OK with MOST airlines if the magazine tops are taped to secure the rounds in the mags. The usual limit is 11 lbs (I've...

All cops aren't big mean ogres that eat your civil liberties!

There are bad/poor cops in most departments. There are bad/poor doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, waiters, judges, husbands and wives. The cop was dead wrong. Tthe sergent corrected the situation and, hopefully, the officer was sent off to a remedial course on the law and his place in it...

Debate help: Legitimate reason for a private citizen to own high capacity magazines

I was asked a simmilar question by a guy (car nut) at work a while back... "Give me ONE good reason why anyone, other than cops and the military, have ANY need for assault weapons or large "clips". No one NEEDS an assault rifle and who NEEDS a clip that holds more than 10 bullets."...

    Wyoming carry question.

Well, I did have a guy from NYC get VERY concerned that I had my Kimber in a holster on my right hip while hiking in the Big Horn Mountains. He kept telling me that I was breaking the law, and that I should put my gun away. I tried to explain to him that open and concealed carry are legal in...

    Wyoming carry question.

My understandung is this is Montana State Law. Now, I have had a few encounters with the WY G&F people while both hunting and fishing. Every encounter has been friendly. Usually I end up in a discussion as to what I am carrying .vs. what they are carrying. One officer spent about 10...
