Congratulations on both guns. I've been wanting a full-sized PX4 Storm for awhile now so it'll likely be a future purchase when I get the cash scraped together.
I had a regular XD .45 which was a great pistol with zero problems. If I were to buy another it would be a regular XD and not an XDm due primarily to the latter being a bit more expensive.
Congratulations on your 22/45! Mine sees quite a bit of range time and is one of my very favorite pistols. As mentioned it's easy on the wallet and won't break the bank when you have it out for some range time.
Another vote for the 22/45. Mine sees its fair share of range time anymore and has digested any fodder I've selected to run through it. It's also my gfs favorite .22 and she's very accurate with it.
I have one of these on my short list also although in .40 S&W. The ones I've held and examined in the past at the gun shops have felt fantastic in hand.
Ruger P95 or a Taurus 24/7 PRO. I own the former and am quite pleased with it. I do own some Taurii also although none are a 24/7 PRO model. Guys on the Taurus Armed forum who have them do seem to be happy with their purchases however and swear by them. In the end I can't see you going wrong...
I own the 970 which is identical to the 990 save for two fewer shots. It (along with my Ruger 22/45) sees a lot of range time and is a lot of fun to plink with. It's accurate, locks up tight and feels good in the hand, better now since I've replaced the factory ribber grip with an offering from...
I've owned several Taurus firearms over the years and only had a problem with one, my PT840 which I purchased shortly after the 800 series was released. Shipped it back to Taurus on their dime, received it back approximately 4 weeks later and has been 100% since.
This seems to be one of Taurus' most popular models and quite a few people on the Taurus forum seem to own them. The consensus there seems to be that most who own them like them.
Very nice, quite a deal at $400!! I've always wanted a King Cobra but like many of us, our long list of gun wants far exceeds our means to get them all. Hope you get to take her out for some range time in the near future. :)
