Waiting patiently for Evan to get his site up and running again.
I like it there because they don't bad mouth others like some of the above posters.
Over the years I have found that those that find fault with his work usually don't know what they are talking about and have never taken...
When recommending a gun we should only recommend those that we have personally shot. It's redicules to offer any opinion unless you have.
I have shot the following:
XDM
XD
M&P
EAA Witness Match
Kel Tec P40 (POS)
Glock 22,23,27
Beretta PX4 Storm
STI Edge
Baby Eagle
Taurus PT...
Don't have any first hand experience with any of those. I really like Thunder Ranch DVD's.
Have heard that Awerbuck's books are great.
"The Snubby Revolver" by Ed Lovette is good too.

Now if we're talking older Colt's then I would have to agree.
Improved groups, yes. But that's not the discussion here.
I fail to see how a quarter inch or so would make a difference in concealing a 1911. If you can't deal with the stock grip then dress differently. Never ever heard of someone switching grips on a 1911 to better conceal it.
