http://www.hardcoretalk.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000740
ditto... send the H&K in...
I got the same handgun... I have shot many brands of ammo... it don't matter... you got to get this functioning better than what it sounds like.
All .40 S&W ammo is made that way... that's what makes it feed properly... I called Hornady about this very thing and...
No Dave...
that was 12 hits out of ~90... :)
Today I went out again and I've been borrowing a double barrel Ruger (a real trap SG).. and using mine. I shot about 160 rds today and hit about 20. Now I'm starting to feel like :banghead:
...getting a little frustrated here.
Well I finished the Trap shoot Wedesday...
The group were good guys and had much advice. As learned from here, I tried to use proper form (stance, etc) and it proved good.
As for shooting out of my cylinder bore 20'', I think I hit around 12 or so. During the competition we stepped back and...
ok I pulled the shells out of the H2O...
these were the brands sitting in a pot of water for a day... yeah I think their "moist" by now.
Wolf 00 2 3/4
S&B 00 2 3/4; max dram
Federal bird shot 7 1/2; 3 dram
looking at them I can't tell any real difference. I did take my finger nail to the...
Nightwatch that's a good point...
I'm can be an experimental guy sometimes and now I got all these cheap shotshells :) so I think I'm going to do a little testing for you and whoever else...
I'm gonna dump some of these shotshells in a water bucket :scrutiny: and then take 'em out and shoot...
I bought a box of 250 rounds/ 25 boxes/ *10* shotshells in a box for $70
which looks like $2.80 per box. beat that ;)
or 200 rds of S&B for $49 that's actually cheaper at 2.45/box
I don't really know for sure how that compares, but I can buy at this price all day. I either buy from...
What do you think about this pouch .
I am checking into it... so far it looks good.
e-mailed the guy and it costs $50 plus shipping.
Well I tried to delete this post cause it doesn't go straight to the post which has the shotshell pouch... if you want to see what I'm referring to go to...
No it's not really for nutes...
I just wanta shoot the stuff... just cause.
sounds logical :)
Actually I should of mentioned this in the beginning. the slugs he was checking were 3'', 1 3/8 oz Brenneke's. I did find various Brenneke's here...
Yeah I thought trap shooting is skeet? help me out here :) And it looks like skeet is also a shotshell.
... I expect to probably pick up some at Walmart/Bi-mart/Sportsman's Warehouse (since it's quick and easy).
45auto says "skeet field." I'll figure out if that's 7 1/2 or 6 or whatever.
I want to get in some good practice with my new gun at the local gun range... they will have a trap shoot this Wednesday. Anyways my SG is a 500A 20'' barrel... as for choke  ... it's just a new mossburg.
What ammo should I buy for this and will my SG work?? I don't care if it...
Got the mossy 500A... anyhow on day one my friend and I thought the stock was just too long. I guess it is probably longer than our rifles. So I was going to get rid of the thing fast. I tried a Bulter Creek pistol grip folding stock on my SG, but I didn't like it... (multiple reasons). Then...
I wouldn't trust the quality of Russian SG ammo...
so I'll make a tough decision and volunteer on the R&D (research and developement) team for their shotshells... shooting tens of thousands of rounds until it's just perfect :scrutiny:
I'll do that for the promotion, safety, and quality...
... I'm moving on to bigger game now. ok I found some huge nutes.
Anyhow I checked with my local gun shop on the cost of these... $8 for 5 slugs (w0w). I almost said to go ahead and order them.
Does someone here know of a better deal either on line or in Oregon?
