What do you think about this pouch .
I am checking into it... so far it looks good.
e-mailed the guy and it costs $50 plus shipping.

Well I tried to delete this post cause it doesn't go straight to the post which has the shotshell pouch... if you want to see what I'm referring to go to link above >tactical gear > shotshell pouch by reece gear

Nice pouch. What are you going to use it for?
Skeet, trap, spoting clays and grey missels I use my 10X that matches my shell bag I've had...whoa...I'm gettin' old.:uhoh:

For running and gunnin' and the like I have something from the 'Nam era --a "pouch" ( Help !-Dave don't know name). Clips fit onto web belt,I use a towel between it and me , sweaty hands and gives padding since I don't have a rear end. One was given to me the other was $5 at a Army Surplus. OD green canvas , tough as nails.

HTH

I have one of the Recce Gear (Jon Nelson) dump pouches. Not the exact set up as referenced, but I can say that it worked very well when I took YFA's Advanced Shotgun class.

I use the PALS webbing to hold the speed reloads as well as a belt mounted two round kydex shot shell holder if the drill is select slug.

The setup, for me, worked very well for Rolling Thunder drills, where a lot of reloads are done.

The only major caveat is to make sure you know what ammo is in the pouch at any given time. I basically check each round I throw in there so I don't use the wrong round on the wrong stage of fire.

Personally, I like the set up better than stuffing shells in the pocket.

It is a very versatile piece of gear, and in my opinion, if you are taking a tactical shotgun class like from Louis Awerbuck (highly recommended), Gunsite, TR, Blackwater, etc., I would consider that setup. Just my opinion.

12-rd combat pouches are more managable.

The dump pouches are not fun when running around with a full load. It's really heavy if you try to carry many shells. The shells can come flying out the top unless it has an elastic closure on the top (Blackhawk's version has this).

It is a little bit slower to reload because the shells are loose and not similiarly indexed for fast acquisition.

thx all...

CWL I think I've seen the pouch your referring to from Army surplus stores. And I think that would fit me better for my personal uses.
