Mossberg Accessories?

basically just looking for a good leather sling set up combat-w... I will look around Cabelas thx.

More than just a few years back, I purchased a Mossberg 500C 20ga. This came with the 18.5 inch barrel and PG. Not long after that, I ordered a stock, that PG is just not realistic. When the next squirrel season was looming, I sent off to Cabela's for a 26" vent rib barrel, with choke tubes.

Now I know the 20Ga doees not stack up with the 12 for many things, but I have always enjoyed this little Mossy, and have carried it as a truck gun, or used it as a bedside shottie many time.

The versitility is there, to do a variety of things, with the right accessories. I am looking at a rifled barrel, and scope, for deer hunting in heavy cover, as the next accessory aquisition.

I picked up another Mossberg 500 today (this makes #3). The gunsmith at the the store where I bought it (Gun City here in Nashville) had done some really nice looking work to it. He parkerized the bolt and slide bars, then painted and baked the reciever, mag tube, and barrel in a tannish color. It looks really sweet. When I bought it, I actually thought to myself "I wish I had a digital camera so I could post pics on THR.". Does that make me a THR junkie?

Next thing I'm thinking about doing is contacting Bob Lumpkin from www.nouglyguns.com, and asking if he can do the foreend and stock in 3-color desert camo. The color of the reciever very nearly matches the tan color of my DCU's, so I think it'll look great. (Yes, for you shotgun purists out there, I WILL be leaving the stock on it, no PG for this gun.) I may also get him to paint a sidesaddle for me, but that'll come later on.

Frank
P.S. Eventually, I will get hold a digital camera and get pics posted when the gun is finished.
