Buy him some Transformers, if you like, to brighten his day. Tell him it's from Little Bear in Nevada.

Another good store with a great indoor range is Discount Firearms. They're a bit hard to find for a non-local, but that computerized range of their's is nice. Just punch in the number of feet you want for distance, hit enter, and it zips down the range automatically. Very nice.
M39SKY...
Henderson Tactical sells Arsenal.
Is Black Rifle Armory still around? They used to have a nice selection, though I don't remember too many Automat Kalishnakov clones.

Call it unorthodox, but I'd make a new bolt-action rifle in .30 caliber an AR-15 Upper Conversion. Basically, a scaled-down UltraMag 50, from Safety Harbor Firearms, but with a few changes...

I was a die-hard iron sights guy, all through my time humping M-16A2 Service Rifles for Uncle Sam's Amphibious Death Cult, and the first few years at my old nuke security job, where I had a AR carbine. When I heard that we were getting Aimpoints on M-4s, I thought, "great, now I have to go on...
I ordered a Middy kit late last year form Del-Ton. Only issue was a bayo lug slightly out of spec (20 thousands or so over). A little filing, and the bayo slipped on.
Nice folks. Good updates, even when breaking news of a shipping delay.
I'd order from them again.

These guys do a carbine, middie, OR rifle-length conversion for $400. Looks promising.

Sir,
If you're taking suggestions on new rifles to import, please take a look at the Australian International Arms M-10 series of Enfield-pattern rifles in .308 WIN, and 7.62x39. I think they'd do well in the US, but no importer seems able to seal the deal.
Marstar has them up in Canada...
Maritime Mike, I envy you, sir. I've wanted to import one of these rifles for years.
First, Tristar fell through. Then Sabre. Hopefully someone will pick up the ball and import these rifles into the US.

It's Al Gore's channel. He's a founding poobah.
That being said, I was amazed at the even-handed treatment of the Gun Issue. The host hinted of some previous military service during his discourse. I enjoyed it.

Voted Sproing because that's what I've been trained on, but would have voted "Chuck-chack" of the FAL's recoil spring if offered the choice. ;)

Mr. Hubel,
I recieved my cartridge yesterday. Thank you very much for the quick shipping, and thorough packaging.
I'm looking forward to working up a smoothbore piece in this chambering.
