I tried searching but couldn't find the answer so excuse my ignorance here.
I just picked up a used Sig P220 to right a wrong (I sold mine to a friend 20 years ago....)
It has a stamped slide with Made in Germany on the right and Exeter on the left, the serial number on the frame is G 346 xxx...
If the ammo is 1/4 of the price of the fancier SD rounds than you can afford to shoot the BG 4 times for the same money.
I'll take 4, well placed American Eagle FMJs anyday.:)
I went to the range last night and shot all 4 guns I had with me both two handed righty (my normal setup) and one-handed with each hand.
The groups I was able to shoot one-handed lefty were astounding good (and much better than my one-hand righty groups).
Even with a short-barreled .38...
I originally joined after escaping Massachusetts to the friendly hills of NH.
I have since had to move back to the People's Republic of Mass.
Maybe I should have it changed it to just Flatlander
+1 for rbernie's explanation.
If you want a double-stack .45 as a shooter go for the Para.
If you are counting on it for defense you can't go wrong with a CZ.
I have always thought the Commander size was the perfect 1911 format and this DW Guardian Deuce is the most accurate out-of-the-box gun I have ever owned:
2nd pace goes to this original Beretta 92S that I picked up recently. I don't why, but it is just a dream to shoot and also very accurate.
I have shot both break-open and semi-auto trap guns with release triggers.
Traditional break-open guns with a thumb-lever are just as described, keep the trigger pulled and thumb the action open.
There are also trap guns where the latch is in front of the trigger guard (Ljutic) that get...
Go to the butcher and buy some good beef fat trimmings and grind them up with the meat.
If you still don't like the taste in hamburger form make it into chili.
There is still a lot of panic buying going on. Dick's had a sale here last week on the UMC stuff and sold out the first day. Basspro has ben hit or miss and the cheaper stuff seems to go fast (at least in 9mm and .45).
The shop I requent the most just got restocked and seems to have a good...
I have a friend who has never sold a gun in 20 years, but hasn't shot any of them in the last 10 years either. Including a Sig 220 that I sold to him.
The last time I got him to open the safe there was a touch of rust on the Sig that I pointed out to him and told him how to get rid off.
He...
Surefire 6p, with my carry gun in it's holster on the bedside table under a towel (currently a Beretta 9000s).
If my daughter is here (shared custody) I'll either have the keys to the gun locker in the closet next to the light or the carry gun with a trigger lock in a box under the bed.
I...
I'd like to find another beretta 92 (preferably a compact or a Centurion). I wouldn't be disappointed with a CZ 75, Browning HP or a 1911 in 9mm either.
If you call it "profiling" it seems a little more PC but the lefties tell us we are not supposed to do that either.
Airline security gets around it by doing a full cavity search of the occassional 80-year-old white grandmother to make it look like they are not just picking on those customers...
You used to see a lot of 4" Mod 19's amd 66's for short money that were old Police trade-in but even those seem to have increasde,
If I found a pre-lock 586/686 I would jump on it.
