I am having a really tough time finding .45 acp. where I'm from. I've even went to North West Arkansas..to pretty much ever gun shop and walmart. I only found 4 boxes...Bought them all..But still..I remember them being very available like 2 weeks ago...What is happening?? I went into Sporstmans Warehouse...they usually carry every type of round you want...Their whole ammo isle....COMPLETELY EMPTY....I heard someone talking about a Legislative bill trying to be passed that is making ammo manufacturers stop production of ammo....That new Coded ammo is causing a huge fuss..Plus I heard of a rumor of %500 percent increase tax on ammo....WHAT IS HAPPENING????

I'm not having any trouble here in Mi. I've only bought three boxes of factory stuff for my XD. I reload my own now. If you have any interest to reload I would recomend it. It's a good hobby, it will save you some $, and if you reload your accuracy will be better than factory ammo.

There is still a lot of panic buying going on. Dick's had a sale here last week on the UMC stuff and sold out the first day. Basspro has ben hit or miss and the cheaper stuff seems to go fast (at least in 9mm and .45).

The shop I requent the most just got restocked and seems to have a good supply (for now).

coded ammo

that coded ammo is somwhat of a scam.there is no machinery the two that thought it up are the ones trying to get some state to vote it in which will make that state be with out ammo as no one is going to make it.
why dont you load your own and be independent.I load mine.few cents a round.:(
