    Is trading a S&W 617 6” Barrel for a Colt Diamondback 4” Barrel a Good Deal?

Last fall at Tulsa they were asking $1,995.00 for .38 Diamondbacks and .22s were way more than that. If the DB is in good shape, make the trade, sell the Diamondback and buy two 617s.

Need snubby suggestions for a guy with big hands

I have large hands and do pretty well with my S&W model 64 with Hogue fingergrip stocks. Any 64,65, or 66 Smith would be the same. Here is an older K frame M&P and my 64. You can see how much bigger the Hogues are.

    "Cereal box" rifle?

I bought a WWll model 12 riot gun Winchester from Montgomery Wards in 1954 for $55.00. In addition to rifles from selling products there were also adds that said "Win a pony. I never heard of anyone selling enough salve, seed, or cards to get that pony.:scrutiny:

Any shooters out there with Lazy Eye?

My right eye is the lazy eye and the vision in it is 20/250 or worse. I shoot handguns right handed and longarms left handed. I'm starting to get cataracts and am concerned about the surgery. I know 90% of people have no problems, but......if on the long shot I have trouble with the surgery I'll...

    Badger boot grips?

Here is my model 63 S&W with Badger grips. I got these at Tulsa from a lady that sets up there. I like to be able to pick out the color and grain. These fit my big hands well.

    Today's Score: 3" S&W Model 65-5

Here is my 4" model 65 with a set of Hogues. I really like your 3". I was looking for a 3", but I found this one for $300.00 with a full box of .357s. I think it probably was a law enforcement revolver. I used Mother's mag polish on it and added the grips. It'll do for the people I run with.:)

Pics of My Diamondback 4" .22

About three years ago I spotted a 4" .38 Diamondback in a pile of dirty revolvers at a gunshow. I got it for $370.00. It cleaned up to near perfect condition, if only it had been a .22.:o I've watched the .22s go up and up and I imagine I'm not going to find that .22 to match my .38. That...

    Taurus 608

I am a S&W lover, so I have a hard time being unbiased. However I picked this one up in a pawn shop parking lot for $200.00. The guy I bought it from told me it had only fired about a half box of .357s. It is so heavy I can't imagine it wouldn't hold up. It's not as tight as a Smith, with a...

    Old school .22s

That 61 Magnum is a very desireable and expensive rifle. On Gunbroker clean examples like yours are bringing $1,200-$1,400. I bought one last winter for $1,000.00 and felt like I did well. I think your uncle thinks a lot of you.

Tulsa Gun Shows - Spring and Fall

Spring or fall, if you haven't been it doesn't matter. I go at least once every year and always find some quality firearms at decent prices. There is something there for everybody, you'll enjoy it. There are terribly crowded aisles and droves of humanity, so you might get a little frustrated if...

    Gun Photography

Always use a tripod, also use your timer, you can't hold a camera still. Take a lot of pictures, save a few. Mine are light challenged as I use lamps and drop lights. I move the lights around until I see no glare with my eye. The camera will find stuff you don't see (dirt, hair, rust). As...

Someone talk me in to a revolver. :)

Like was stated in an earlier reply everyone should have a .357. Here is my answer to that, a S&W 27-2. It'll take all the heavy loads you want to shoot. However, if you really want to reach out and touch something at 50-100 yards, this Model 57 .41 mag 8 3/8" will do.

    My Revolver Addiction

I know that you have probably already tried the Mother's Mag Polish, but thought I'd show this one. It's a 65 that had quite a few small scratches. Mother's and a new pair of Hogues and I think it came out pretty. Have you scratched the 610 and 617 itch yet?
