will have to stay with in an hour of Denver. didn't mean to offend anyone from Colorado but like I said I only know what I hear on the news and talk radio that's why I am asking
thanks in advance for any responses, the short version is: I am considering taking a new job in Colorado but I know absolutely nothing about the area or state. I only know what I hear n the news that the state is being overrun by tree hugging anti-gun hippies. is this true? is it becoming hard...
I asked around about reloading this cartridge some time ago with no help. not that anyone was unfriendly but I think no one has heard of it. a little back ground : this is a freedom arms single action revolver with absolutely no production ammo available. so freedom arms partnered with rcbs to...
my 686's top my list for me the perfect compliment of style and function. my Rutgers both GP and sp are tanks and will shoot any hot load I throw down them. the only k frames I have had were in rough cosmetic shape but functioned flawlessly. my Dan Wesson pistol PAC is cool but I always worry...
congrats on an awesome purchase, as far as the malfunction goes I can only recommend a good gunsmith I send all my old winchesters to T&D Metal works( they have a website you can look up) they seem to know their stuff when it comes to old guns especially old Winchesters good luck/
side note...
Hoffman pack boots when it's cold and Hoffman loggers any other time. I can get away with the loggers in fairly cold weather with a good pair of wool sock
helping a friend with this one but has anyone had any experience with this? will be starting with never fired primed .327 brass. can I use a h-110 powder? the only loading data I can find is for imr 4227. any pointers would be awesome thanks in advance
Not wanting anyone's secert spot just wanting to know good places to park, camp and walk in. And any areas to avoid tourist traffic( and not p/$$ off any locals or Private land owners)Any help from the guys from there or have experience there would be great.
I am looking for some members input in states that have already passed this type of legislation. I am not a lawyer so my understanding is limited but what I gather is that is much like the Montana passed bill. My questions being:
1) any noticeable change in shopping at a local gun store...

Just checked you are correct I may adjust the trip dates as long as it doesn't mess up the fishing that is taking priority but then again rabbits will be fair game
Anyone have experience in this area. Friends and I are planning a late September trip to try some trout fishing and thought about some squirrel hunting while we were. Any advice? Thanks in advance
As a hunter and butcher I kill to eat. With butchering I have found the less stress a creature goes through the easier the whole process is and I can't prove this but I think the quality of the meat is better. Hunting I approach the same. No one wants to see a critter flop around for 20 minutes...
Couple questions in the same ballpark here:
1) What is the heaviest bullet I can get for 357 mag. ( not like the penn "Thunderhead" but a usable bullet for defense against lg 2 and 4 legged animals)
2)Using winchester 231 or auto comp do I use WLP primers or do I need "mag" primers?
3) What...
thanks for answering all the questions I had. Can I conclude the moral of this thread is carry the biggest possible firearm you can when in bear country? Thats what I'm taking from it. Mostly thanks to all the BTDT guys for talking me outta buying a glock
i am leaning away from wheel guns @ this point. Mostly leaning in the G20 direction but will have to shoot some different options before I can make up my mind.I like the "big gun with alot of bullets" idea. Also If I had that kind of money I would be investing in a Custom Sig in a 10 mm(sorry...
Looking for a shoulder holster for a lg frame Dan Wesson 44 with an 8" heavy barrel. Not for concealment(kinda hard to conceal that) but a good leather(preferred) shoulder holster. Any suggestions?
Don't want to upset fanboys of either and I do respect the rep of both of those firearms as far as accuracy and reliability just prefer neither. I have been leaning towards the glock 20. To ask another question to glock 20 owners: Any concerns shooting "hot" hand loads thru a poly gun?
