    Ruger LCP Custom Issues

Recently purchased a new Ruger LCP Custom and took it to the range yesterday for the first time. The gun is having problems resetting the trigger when fired. Every other round or so will not reset the trigger, but when I cycle it manually it will work every time. This happens on multiple...

223 RCBS competition seater plug in small base dies

I'm reloading a batch of 223 Hornady 68gr HPBT, 25.8gr of Varget, and 2.26" OAL. This is a compression load and I am getting a ring of bullet deformation when seating the bullet. I am currently using RCBS small base 223 dies and was wonder if the RCBS competition seater plug will fit my dies and...

    USPSA match time

How long does a typical local USPSA match with roughly 30-60 people take? I have only shot 3-gun and tactical shotgun matches which ussually have 60-80 people. The matches ussually take 8-10 hours, which for me isn't worth the 10 minutes of actually shooting that I do sometimes.

    Glockmeister Gen4 Recoil Spring Assembly

I just got a captured gen4 recoil assembly from glockmeister in today and was expecting the end of it to have an allen key that allows you to change springs. This is not the case though as the end cap/screw is just a smooth surface. Does anyone know if this end cap is actually a screw that is...

    .223 question after range session

Just started reloading .223 and have one question after a test session at the range. I tested two loads, one 55gr and one 68gr. What I found odd is that my rounds fired with the 55gr were dead on windage wise, but the 68gr loads where 3 inches to the left of my point of aim. I am thinking that...

    First USPSA match

I am shooting my first USPSA match this weekend and am wondering how much ammo to bring? I believe the match will be 5 stages and I plan on bringing 5 pistol mags with for my Glock 21. I am also not sure if I should shoot limited or production division. Right now I am leaning toward limited...

    powder drop adapter

I picked up an adapter from Gun-Guides ($16) which allows any standard die thread powder drop to slide into the Lee powder through expanding die or Lee rifle charging die. Thought I would share a pic because this little adapter works great and makes reloading a bit easier.

Texas personal vehicle search at workplace

My little brother works in south Texas at oil rig sites for weeks at a time. These drill sites have a no weapons policy, but this is commonly broken because people keep a firearm in their car for defense when driving the roads of south Texas. So once they pull into the confines of the drill site...

Minnesota Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance

Reaching out to all those Minnesotans out there or anyone willing to help support a good cause. The NRA does a great job on a national level of defending the 2nd amendment, but on a state level here in Minnesota the Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance are the ones on the ground getting things...

Poor Man's Magpul Magazine Enhancement for AR magazines

The purpose of this thread is to show people with standard aluminum AR mags how to create a "Magpul" without spending $8 a piece for them. I was shown this by my team leader on day 1 when I got to my company in the Airborne Infantry and all members of our platoon were required to do this to...

    SVT-40 stock replacement

Would any other SVT-40 owners be interested in having boyd's gun stocks make a replacement stock for the SVT in the birch laminate style? I would like to shoot my SVT a lot, but I don't want to crack my stock. Which from what I have read is a problem with the SVT. So I was thinking that if...

    Svt 40

Walked into my local gun shop today and it just so happened that he had a SVT 40. Apparently a truck driver had blown his clutch and needed cash so he traded it in. The numbers show that it is a 1941 Izzy model and I paid $990 for it, my wife is going to kill me if she see's it. I just couldn't...

    Impressed with the Mosin-Nagant

A few weeks ago I got a surplus Mosin-Nagant (1938 Izzy) from Bud's and it was in excellent shape. After my first trip to the range I found that it was hitting roughly 9-10" high at 100 yards. Then I did some research and found out the most Mosins from this period shoot high because the...

Sig 229 Failure to Feed Problems

Having some issues with my 229 the last 2 trips I made to the range. After I shoot roughly 50 rounds it starts to have some failure to feed issues. I have been using Reliant Ammo 180gr FMJ and HP ammo. I need to test the gun out with some different ammo, but I was just posting to see if anyone...

Look what made its way to Afghanistan

When I was in Afghanistan we use to search a lot of houses and we use to find a lot of interesting firearms. However, unlike the soldiers of past we were not allowed to ship any weapons home that were manufactured after around 1895. I use to find lots of Mosin-Nagants and Enfields. One M1 Garand...
