I have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint that I plan on mounting a Vortex Razor HD on. What height would let the scope sit nice and low to the gun but still clear the objective lens? I was looking at TPS rings specifically.

The clips in my M1 don't eject after the last round, the bolt just locks open and I have to press the clip release on the side to remove it. When I press the release, the clip does shoot clear of the rifle.
