    10mm Pet Loads

2400 is too slow for 10mm.. even more so in the short G29 barrel. Dont even concider 296 either... you'd be better off pouring it on your lawn. 800X is pretty much the accepted standard for the very top end, but you have to measure each charge seperately to make it worth the effort. I've used...

    Best .223 "Social" Projectile, SHTF

Also, just to add to the conversation, at 200yrds+ I am thinking flee! rather than engage! but thats just me. This all being said, I like the 64grn winchester powerpoints for social work.

10mm load data for 220 gr. bullets?

Am I losing my mind? You would want to treat 200grn data as absolute max with a 220grn bullet...

10mm load data for 220 gr. bullets?

Only mentioning this as a warning... it has been referenced twice in this thread to "start with 200grn data and work up". This is opposite of what you want to do. I'm sure you are aware of this, but I know how easy it can be to get a idea or concept in your head then go with it.....

    Taper Crimp and M1A

"No crimp of any kind can make up for loose neck tension." +1 I've played this game before and agree %100 there is no substitute for proper neck tension.

Cheap 10mm bullets for practice reloads

When you find them, let the rest of us know too. :D

    My 9mm reload sucks!

I would also agree the factory most likely used a Ransom Rest to fire the gun. Keep in mind the stock sights are "combat 3 dot" and they will mostly occlude the bullseye area at 25yards.

    Hot glue bullets

It works great.. I dont know whats up with the haters in this thread.. Glue sticks hold together well and have far, far less mess then wax. The gluelet is not moving fast enough to melt the glue to any noticeable degree (yet makes a great bond with the rifling).

First time re-loading for a semi-auto rifle, any way(s) to speed up sizing?

I might be the odd man out on this one, but I neck size only a lot of my brass for the AR. If it was originally fired in the gun (or full length sized then fired in the gun) neck sizing has always worked great for me. No feeding issues to speak of. I only have 1 5.56 gun as well... someone...

700 gr. Hardcast .500 magnum loads

This pretty much sums everything up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjmtUFrFBc4&feature=related

Is 223 and 5.56 the same?

They are the same outer dimensions, but the 5.56 brass tends to have thicker walls, thus lower internal capacity, thus increased pressure for any equal load compared to .223 brass. This is a broad generalization and as always, you should work up loads carefully.

How to jam an AR-15 in one easy step

Hmmmm. It sounds like your sizing die might not be adjusted to fully size the neck. This could happen in either a full length die or a neck only die. Unless it gets sized down to very near where the shoulder starts, it could create a bulge. Having used the factory crimp die extensively, it...

Anyone's new Dillon not work correctly right out of the box?

Personally, I think you must be missing something fundemental in setting the press up. I would only ship the whole mess back to Hornady as a very last resort. By inspecting the system with no brass or primers it should be easy to identify what is going wrong.

Hornady LNL AP High Primers - any one else experienced this?

Have you watched the process with no brass or primers in the system? Is the plunger going up like it should? Is the shell plate tight? If it is loose, the pressure from priming would tilt the whole system enough not to seat the primer correctly. This should be an issue we can get fixed.

Hornady LNL AP High Primers - any one else experienced this?

Also, all I have ever used is CCI primers for what its worth. The "timing" the rep spoke of is in relation to the pawls that auto index the press. You would know if the timing is off because the stations would not be linging up correctly with the dies. The indents in the shell plates are also...

Hornady LNL AP High Primers - any one else experienced this?

I personally do not experience this in my LnL. Well.. one time I had the large primer punch in for small primers and that caused the problem you describe, but that was my own damn fault. Anyhow-- 1 fix is to JB weld a flat washer on the top base of the press where the primer punch hits. If the...

Anyone have any loads for 10mm using Winchester 165gr FP and Blue Dot?

I have run a lot of 10mm loads with Blue Dot. With the 165grn FMJ, I use between 11 and 11.9 grains. Blue Dot is somewhat temp sensitive as well so be aware of this. In 90F weather, the 11.9 load was clocking 1280 out of a 4.6" barrel. Nice flash and boom. Work up slowly, and be safe.
