Caliber war/debate..........
this something you can talk over till the world turns flat.....I don't want a kid throwing rocks at me let alone someone shooting .17 caliber rimfire my direction, besides it's all about the shot placement anyway. Try shooting both firearms first, afterwards which...
My bad on the barrel lengths, although the shop did have 3 of them & all were stainless - interesting firearm none the less, kinda big & reminiscent of the Cobra Thunderer (spelling?), at least I think that is what is was called.
The links that ArchAngelCD & Seventhsword provided are worth looking at - although the 12ga. shotgun is still the best choice - loaded with Brenneke Slugs, forget the 00 buckshot. I carry both a 4" 629 & a Remington 870 12ga. with an 18" barrel whenever I am out enjoying the Great Outdoors, by...
I've heard about the AirLite SC .357 & .44 Magnums having the possibility of locking up, but not the steel guns until this - kinda makes one reconsider buying a "new" S&W.
One of the local gun shops in Anchorage has 3 on the shelf, all 3 seem to stainless steel with different barrel lengths - if memory serves well something on the order of 2", 4" & 5" or maybe 6". The clerk said they sold a couple but have yet to hear anything back about it.
Another update on this whole ordeal............
I contacted the owner of the Gun & Pawn shop, by phone, and explained what had happened, well it turns that the shop is closing at the end of the month due a necessary "medical retirement" and the clerk is his grandson who has "issues" but...
Sir, I am not a troll........
Quote from Bobhwry "I call BS on this thread! Highly doubt this transaction ever took place or in the way described here? I totally suspect a troll here and most of you fell for it. Sorry it just doesn't pass the believability test."
Sir with all due respect...
I was completely thrown by the response & treatment
Well I went back to the Gun & Pawn shop to let the clerk know about the "mistake/error" which was in my favor and I would like to return/pay the $30.00 difference. His response was that he is a math major at the local university and doesn't...
I stopped by the local gun & pawn shop yesterday just to see what was new in the case and there it was. A S&W Model 65-6 with 3-inch barrel, original service grips and in better than 90% condition (but not quite 95% condition) with the factory box, for a tidy sum of $225.00. After chatting with...
If the M&P 45 is going to be anything like either of my .40S&W M&P's - which by the way has been outstanding - you can bet my vote is going to be for the Smith & Wesson.
I picked my full sized M&P40 "Shooter's Pack" - (fiirearm plus 3 magazines, holster & double mag carrier) for $450.00 and my compact M&P40c for $425.00. Although I have seen the local "One Cop Stop Shop" & Authorized S&W Dealer trying to sell their M&P9 for $725.00:what: - swbinak
Yes I know it's not a revolver but, I recently picked up a Winchester Model 12 "Heavy Duck" with a 30-inch barrel & fixed full choke in about 95% NRA Condition for $395.00 from a medically retired motorcycle police officer. It belonged to his grandfather, who passed away a couple of years ago...
Well, I picked up the AirLite Model 396 .44 Special yesterday and while waiting for the Federal background check to go through I wandered over to the used gun counter and noticed a 6-inch Model 586-2 in better than 95% condition (just a slight drag line on the cylinder) for $350.00. Well after...
