HK G3 .22lr conversion kit useable with PTR 91 clone?

I was wondering if anyone has tried using a HK .22lr G3 conversion kit with a JLD PTR91 G3 clone rifle. Anyone know if its feasible?

Leaning towards Redding Big Boss as first press

Anybody's welcome to jump in here... I've been doing alot of lurking around in different forums, I've read the ABCs and Lee's modern reloading 2nd edition. Alot of people over at the Surplus Rifles place said they were busting the toggles on their Lees so I'm not too impressed with them right...

Leaning towards Redding Big Boss as first press

I'm almost ready to take the plunge and buy an actual press. But, I don't want to be stuck wanting, wishing I had bought something else. I'm only interested in a simple single stage for reloading 6.5x55, 8mm and 7.62x54R for accurate light target loads right now. So what do you guys think about...

how often do you clean your guns?

If you have a small light that is allways on in your safe it works well to keep your stuff from rusting.

    Today's question

I don't like buying anything used if I can help it. Unless you can get a real good look over before you buy. Do what Mr. Roberts said and hang out at a range to get an idea of what is what.

    Ak vs. FAL

I have heard alot of really good things about FALs. As far far as reliability, I've heard them called "oversized AKs":) If cost is not really your concern, and since you want to go out to 300 meters or yards, which is where an AK will get kinda sketchy with 7.62x39 go with a FAL. If I...

    9mm Carbine Question

I like my Kel-Tech sub 2000 in 9mm (poor man's mp5). Ergonomics are lacking though, like others have said. My main gripe with it was the tiny amount of shoulder contact you had when you actually use the sights. I taped a flat Mauser metal butt plate to the end of the stock (low enough so I can...

    My first AK?

Yea, Im also under the impression that if you have a milled or thicker reciever like an RPK it will most likely be a bit more accurate then the average stamped reciever. I wouldn't worry about the life of the reciever, as long as its been heat treated properly it will almost certainly last...

    Would a kel-tec sub 2000in 9 be an OK 400 yard gun?

No way man:what: I actually tried to find my manual because it has a ballistic chart with bullet drop table thingy. I can't find it, but if I remember correctly the max range is 150 yds. At like 75 yds your 9mm has the same energy as a .380 and starts to drop rapidly off the chart after 125 yds.

    century arm sar 1

SARs are pretty decent rifles after you fix the trigger slap. Some of the WASRs can be troublesome. I'm sory I sold my SAR and I was gonna pick up a WASR just as a beater slap around rifle, but from what I've seen think I will pass. I allready have two Arsenals in 7.62 anyway.

The AK and the AR/My conclusion taking history into account.

:scrutiny: In the beginning...there was a big long rifle with a giant bullet. But it was a manual operated, and it was slow to fire. Then came the machine gun but it was not very mobile and required more then one person to operate it. Then they came up with the light machine gun (which was...

    AR vs AK vs SKS

Or you could just split the difference and get a Sig 556. I'm quite happy with an AK myself.

    Mythbusters re-shoot Hathcock scope shot

In war time theres allways alot of propaganda on both sides. Though I still think its possible I would take everything with a skeptical grain of salt.
