    Why are Guns so Addicting?

You are only an addict if you go to meetings. I don't go to meetings,so it's all good!

Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for this

TRGRHPY, The turning on a lathe doesn't bother me. It's the case hardening bit that I thought was funny. The guy was always awe struck when he talked about it.

Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for this

A guy that use to work with me showed me that ad over the summer. He thought it was the neatest stuff since sliced bread, and sincerely believed that it would kill someone instantly. Of course, this was the same guy that swore a buddy of his handloaded rounds for his .44mag. with solid steel...

Have you ever given up on a gun friend?

I think you need to chill out, man.Just because some of his stuff has been broke for a while, he doesn't train as much as you think he should, and he has a gun that he doesn't like, doesn't mean that he needs to sell his stuff.Maybe he is content just sitting on the couch ,with all his guns...

    Class 3 permit...South Carolina

I was talking to the guy that runs the local class 3 shop about a suppressor last year, and I'm pretty sure he was saying that in SC, as long as you pass the background check, and pay the tax stamp, the local CLEO has to sign off on it. Evedently the old Spartanburg county sheriff liked to drag...

So, there's this freaky "Line" on the cylinder of my new S&W 638....Help!

Krochus has it right, I'll bet.Work around steel long enough, and you can easily identify delamination. You are lucky it showed up as well as it did. I have seen parts go out to be sandblasted that you couldn't see anything wrong with, but when the sandblaster got hold of it,that steel will peel...

    Recoil of 380 vs 9mm

Depends a lot on the pistol,I think. My wife can handle her Bersa fine. She can also handle my buddy's 9mm 1911 fine, but can barely even hold on to my beretta 92.

    New model 67a

I think I just got one heck of a deal. My 5 year old son has been bugging me to go look at guns, and as he is out of school for Christmas, seemed like a good excuse to visit my favorite gun shop. After looking around for a bit, came across a Winchester 67a. Decent wood, VERY light rust on the...

You are not a gunsmith (rant)

I'm lucky to be about 20 minutes from Cox's in greenville. He may be slow as Christmas, but can do dang near anything there is to be done with a firearm, doesn't matter how new, old, or exotic, he can handle it. And man, you should see some of the custom stocks that him and his dad have done...

    "High-Powered Ammunition" CA?

I always thought that High Powers took 9mm.
  18. M

They want your ammo - Voters should have paid attention.

Just read the one for S.C. and I don't think Gov. Sanford will let it fly here. Kind of screwed up that it is even an issue though. If the number or whatever is on the base of the bullet itself, wouldn't it get pretty messed up upon firing anyway?

    Gun Related Names for Boats

I used to have a boat that I named "SS Armalite".

    AR-15 Poll

I voted Armalite. My M15-A2 has cycled anything I can cram in it. She has literally been smoking before, and kept on cycling like always. I love that gun.
