    Ruger Security Six

Great looking handguns ... The "Six" series from Ruger have been the most reliable DA revolvers for me. My experience covers 32 years of shooting Ruger, S&W, Colt, Charter Arms and Taurus models. Wish I had bought some more of them, but who knew?

Firearms that take a beating, but keep going

I totally agree with the AK's and Glocks. I disagree with the Remington 870 as mine failed at the ejector rivet. I was quite surprised after all the hype and testimonials. It's long gone now. I found a nice, older Ithaca 37 and it has never failed.

    most trusted handgun

Well, until I read post 121, I had some nice Sigs all ready to go.  :( My toughest revolver to date has been a Colt King Cobra, so ..... Or maybe even the CCO with its 7 shots.

Mini-14: now with factory hicaps for us serfs

News of the 20-rounders is a good step. The heavier barrel will interest many, but it may take something away from the Mini being a lightweight, handy carbine.

    3" S&W 65 vs. 3" SP101

The word "slender" is the one word I'd use for the S&W over the Ruger in this case. Add in "smooth" and you'd have 90% of the ergo aspect comparison covered IMO. I have an SP101 with an action worked over by Gemini Customs. Along with some other really fine work, slicking up these smaller...

    ar-15 poll

I recently looked over the current AR offerings too, and decided on a Bushmaster. After many months of reading just about all I could find (and understand) about the current brands, theirs looked to have the best combination of solid product history, very few "red flags" in quality control...

why the hell don't you own a thompson?

#1 reason is that I don't like the look of that mandatory, longish looking barrel.

Ruger Mk 1 .22 auto pistol

Or is it the blade that fits into a raised slot on the barrel? That arrangement may prove somewhat harder. I like the 4 3/4" model and have been on the hunt for something better for them for years.

    Fiocchi Ammo

We've only had experience with thier .380's a few years. My wife put about 300-rds down range without a hitch to help break-in a pistol. I believe they generally have decent word-of-mouth too.
