Greetings,
I am curious if anyone has experience in shooting both a DW Valor and Wilson CQB. If so how do they stack up relative to eachother with repect to fit, finish, manufactuing tolerances and overall shooting accuracy?
Thanx
Greetings,
I recently won a Kimber Custom II NRA Freedom Warrior 1911 pistol.
I am debating whether or not to keep the pistol as an unfired safe queen collectable or shoot it at the range.
I am seeking opinions regarding the pistol and if it is a wothy collector's piece.
Thank...
Greetings,
I have managed to scrape some funds togehter and am debating purchasing either a National Match Garand or a corresponding M1A.
I intend to use the rifle for occasional target shooting ( 400 yards or less typical distance).
I do not have the funds to buy both and would...
Greetings,
I am seeking an aftermarket supplier of laminated wood stocks for Savage 116FLSS 338 Win Mag (left handed) Rifles.
Can anyone pls. suggest a source?
Thank you for your attention.
P220 St
I own two of them. Excellent automatics with respect to recoil control and accuracy given their weight. Hard to carry on one's hip though. Invest in a good shoulder holster.
Maybe so about the 338
The PH thought that the 338 Win mag was the best all around for plains game there but I enjoyed shooting the '06 more so I ended up practicing a heck of lot more with that than the 338.
In Support of the 30 - 06
I recently returned from a safari in the Limpopo province of the Republic of South Africa and was very successful in harvesting near record kudu and gemsbuck with my 30-06. I also brought my 338 Win Mag as a back up on plains game but had no need for it since my 30-06...
I think one of the major reasons why polymer frame pistols have become popular is that they are much easier to mass produce than those made from other materials.
Look at the costs associated with plastic injection molding a frame versus investment casting. Polymer frames are much easier to...
I own a NAA Black Widow Revolver that has the interchageable 22 LR / Magnum cylinder. Workmanship on the pistol is good and the use of 17-4 PH SS steel is notable. It was loud and difficult to shoot accurately for more than a few yards though.
I would rather invest in a Ruger revolver and...
Greetings,
I am new to logn range shooting and am curious as to how rifle scopes function.
In particular, what happens to the optics inside a scope when one click adjusts the knobs located at the midsection of the scope barrel?
Is there a good website that explains how a scope works?
Greetings,
I am thinking about purchasing Rock River match grade AR-15. The rfile is outfitted with a telescoping stock and I would like to use the rifle primarily for target shooting.
I am concerned that most long range shooting rifles rely upon fixed stocks rather than telescoping...
Savage 10FP
I own a 10FLP model and am pleased as puch with it. Just get rid of the cheap plastic stock and replace it with a high quality composite stock. Spend the rest of the money on a GOOD quality scope and rings.
Colt 357
I agree with dfariswheel
I won two Colt 357 revolvers having 4 and 6 inch length barrels. They are remarkable revolvers. I wonder if they will ever become in high demand.
Waterproof Revolver
I would also be inclined to wipe down a waterlogged revolver with alcohol as a cleaning solvent. Absolute ethanol would be preferred since it readily forms an azeotrope with residual water and would be very effective in drying water from the wet revolver.
Greetings,
I am seeking suggestions for makes/models of holsters suitable for carrying a 2.25 inch SP 101 revolver. I am a large frame individual.
Thank you for your attention.
Greetings,
I recently purchased a used stainless Caspian 1911 and am seeking information about its (age, overall quality, reputation etc.).
The receiver is marked "Foster Industries Inc. Hardwick, VT" serial number is M964733.
Can anyone comment on this pistol?
Thank you for...
Greetings,
I noticed that Charter Arms is offerring a Bulldog revolver having a balck passivated surface finish.
Any idea if the steel used to manufacture this model is carbon steel or stainless which is subsequently passivated black?
I realize that most stainless alloys naturally...
I am new to 1911s and am considering purchasing a Wilson Protector. Besides that fact that they are stainless, what are the otehr differnces between the Protector and the CQB models? Also I have done some searching on the web and it seems as if the Protector is not nearly as popular as the...
