I notice in most of your threads about the '51/'61 Navies you do a lot of your shootin' at (or around) 25 yards. Usually you state they shoot pretty much point-of-aim at that distance even though the old Navies were factory sighted in for 75 yards. Is there an explanation for this?

The thread title pretty much says it all. I'm infatuated with the '51 Navies and all the history that goes with them. Figured this book might be a good way to feed my addiction, but I don't care to drop a large sum on a book that isn't worth my while.

DGW offers a few options for their 1851 Navy's. My question is this: what's the difference between the "Dixie 1851 Navy - Steel Frame (made in Italy)" and the "Uberti 1851 Navy Revolver"? Am I to assume the former is a Pietta model?
