    2 New Toys. Turkish 1911A1 and Beretta PX4 Storm in 40 S&W

Congratulations on both guns. I've been wanting a full-sized PX4 Storm for awhile now so it'll likely be a future purchase when I get the cash scraped together.

Why not buy one of the older XD models?

I had a regular XD .45 which was a great pistol with zero problems. If I were to buy another it would be a regular XD and not an XDm due primarily to the latter being a bit more expensive.

    Ruger 22/45

Congratulations on your 22/45! Mine sees quite a bit of range time and is one of my very favorite pistols. As mentioned it's easy on the wallet and won't break the bank when you have it out for some range time.

best .22 for plinking under $300

Another vote for the 22/45. Mine sees its fair share of range time anymore and has digested any fodder I've selected to run through it. It's also my gfs favorite .22 and she's very accurate with it.

    New PX4 Outstanding so far!

I have one of these on my short list also although in .40 S&W. The ones I've held and examined in the past at the gun shops have felt fantastic in hand.

    ruger vs. taurus

Ruger P95 or a Taurus 24/7 PRO. I own the former and am quite pleased with it. I do own some Taurii also although none are a 24/7 PRO model. Guys on the Taurus Armed forum who have them do seem to be happy with their purchases however and swear by them. In the end I can't see you going wrong...

what is your go to gun?

Saiga .223 or Remington 870. If I were to reach for a handgun however it'd be my Glock 22.

    Most Reliable Auto Loader

XD .45 Tac/ Ruger P95/ Taurus PT92 Never had a problem with any of those and they happily ate and digested whatever ammo I chose to run through them.

what's the worst gun you've ever owned?

Jennings J-22. The problems I experienced with it mirror Jonah71's.

Browning Buckmark or Taurus 990 Revolver

I own the 970 which is identical to the 990 save for two fewer shots. It (along with my Ruger 22/45) sees a lot of range time and is a lot of fun to plink with. It's accurate, locks up tight and feels good in the hand, better now since I've replaced the factory ribber grip with an offering from...

Might be time for a .45

All are sound choices and can't see you going wrong with any that have been mentioned.

The $400 NIB 9mm Round Up

I was also going to suggest the Zastava EZ9, I've seen them at one of my local shops for $350.00 and am tempted to pick one up.

    Glock Vs Springfield XDM

You can't go wrong with either though my own personal preference would be for the Glock.

    Taurus

I've owned several Taurus firearms over the years and only had a problem with one, my PT840 which I purchased shortly after the 800 series was released. Shipped it back to Taurus on their dime, received it back approximately 4 weeks later and has been 100% since.

Pick a Revolver from TV or Movie

The S&W 500 Magnum from the last Punisher film. :D

Do you only purchase USA-made firearms?

No, I like to diversify my collection. There are just too many I like from other countries to limit myself solely to what we make here in the US.

    Beretta 92fs INOX

Congratulations on the new INOX! If I were going to pick up a 92FS it would likely be one of these though I do like the blued models as well.

What do you guys think of the Taurus 85?

This seems to be one of Taurus' most popular models and quite a few people on the Taurus forum seem to own them. The consensus there seems to be that most who own them like them.

    s&w 686 or King cobra?

Very nice, quite a deal at $400!! I've always wanted a King Cobra but like many of us, our long list of gun wants far exceeds our means to get them all. Hope you get to take her out for some range time in the near future. :)

Do you feel that a magwell adds to or detract from a 1911's cosmetics?

Personally I like them about as much as forward slide serrations....which is to say, not at all.
