I'm using Campro 124 grain plated hollow points over 5.3 grains of WSF in my Aero Survival rifle (with Vortex Strikefire sight).
Seated to 1.110" I get 8 of 10 shots in 1.75" at 50 meters. There are always a couple of flyers.
Chronographs at 1380 fps
I bought my K31 up here in Canada about 6 months ago. Wholesale Sports had them on sale for $300 (reg price was $380).....cases of ammo for $300 as well. Wish I'd bought another one before the sale ended.
My K-31 was made in 1941
I kept buying cases of ammo as long as it was on sale. Ended up...
I have 2 American Classics.
One is a .308 Win with blued barrel/action. The bluing is very glossy as well as the stock finish. I've had the rifle since 2006.
I bought a used American Classic in 7mm Rem Mag 18 months ago. The barrel & action are matte stainless. The wood is not as nice or shiney...
I've been using it for a few years.
When I'm going to change my media, I take the new stuff outside when there's a breeze blowing and pour the new stuff back & forth between a couple of buckets a few times to let the wind blow the fine dust away. Works great!
A local gun shop here (sadly closed now due to death of owner) was a great place to buy stuff.
I bought a lot of rifles, scopes, reloading supplies, etc from him.
Whenever I bought a new firearm, I would buy a box of ammo for testing. More often than not, he'd throw in an extra box for me...
This isn't my gift.
My son's girlfriend bought her dad's old lawnmower and had her uncle paint it up. She gave it to him for Christmas.
She's a keeper!
It takes about 5 seconds to remove or install the barrel. Just grab the ventilated shroud in front of the receiver and turn it to remove or attach. No tools needed
I would have liked to have a shorter barrel, but our laws up here in Canada say that semi-auto centerfire rifles have to have 18.5"...
I have an ASR..................What would you like to know?
I have around 400 rounds through it with exactly 1 fail-to-eject. No FTF's or any other function problems. The barrel lock collar was coming loose after about 50 rounds. 2 wraps of Teflon tape fixed that.
It came from the factory...
I have a Pedersoli RB Baby Carbine in .357 mag. My wife bought it for me 8 years ago because she thought it was "so cute!"
Heavy barrel on it (0.790" at the muzzle) that measures 20" from muzzle to breech face.
I have used it for sneaking around in the bush looking for deer. My favorite hunting...
We're lucky up here in Canada.
I can get Chinese new production 7.62x54 for $249/1000 rounds.
I've picked up Russian surplus for $219/880 rounds locally
My #1 .270 Winchester gave me this group the first time I ever shot it.
Never happened again, but never grouped over 1.5" with the same load.
Traded the rifle for a #1 RSI in 7x57 that shoots really well.
Anschutz model 520 or 525 gets my vote.
I have a cheap Tasco red dot on mine for my wife to shoot and at 25 meters, I can shoot 10-round ragged holes in the target.
