I tried to make it happen in my 243 and no matter how slow i slid the bolt back it throws the empty with no problem.I pulled the bolt out and put an empty into the bolt face from what i see is maybe the extractor was not cut right or the pin in the bolt face that pushes the empty...

Dont panic..! starting with a good solid rest (no gun movment). Adjust the trigger so it is right for u.Make sure u are using proper form.Do all things needed to produce an MOA or better group they can be easily overlooked.U will just have to find the right load.U might want to try playing with...
Unless u absolutly need something new to play with...Remingtons Managed recoil 140gr 7mag is less than the 7-08 140gr standard load add the limbsaver pad and you will be set.Everyone here has given pretty much the same advice so good luck with decision.

craigman, great find and an excellent woods gun i've had mine for 35yrs given to me on my 12th bithday .The 141's are good shooters light on recoil and quick handlers that won't wear u out carrieing it around.Best of luck with it.Here is a pic of mine.
The M2 goin away has been beat to death for a couple of years now.Thier still makin ammo and arnt going to stop.Im glad there are people that arnt thrilled with the M2... means more ammo for the ones that love it.
