Not bad at all. Thought the manual wasn't half bad. The diagram in back that shows all the parts helps. Maybe photocopy it and have it available while following the instructions. Make sure you have some wrenches and allen wrenches available.

Really hard to say without witnessing it. You felt there was a significant threat and instinct took over. From what you described, I don't think I would have done the same.
Hooked it up to the LNL AP and WOW! I can flat out reload now. No more messing with putting cases in station 1. Switching from .45acp to 9mm is no big deal (<5 minutes).
