02020 XSE Delta Elite reliability work.

On my New Delta Elite, I installed a full length guide rod with shock buffs and a Wolff 24" recoil spring. The original set up was a plastic, short guide rod, with two recoil springs.

I removed the Firing Pin Plunger, Firing Pin Plunger Spring, Plunger Lever and Trigger Bar Lever and installed a TJ's Custom frame slot filler.

I also added a Wilson Combat slide stop and Stainless barrel link.

The frame stop filler was a chore to line up with the sear, and disconnecter, but it made the pistol more reliable because if any of the above parts were to break your gun would be useless.

IMHO this reliability work is a good idea for any series 80 pistol.

Is this the new current production Delta? All the new Delta's I've seen are not the XSE's shown in their catalog, but are basically exactly the same as the original Deltas. Pics please!

Delta Elite information

Yes this is the new model Delta Elite 02020 XSE.

If you go to Brownells and look at the schematic for Colt Delta Elite, you will see what parts I removed.
