10/22 refinish

I have a Ruger 10/22 Silver Reciever, SS Barrel & Black Synch Stock. Well I thought that it would be a good move to flush the action out with a little spray brake cleaner. Well not a good idea, since it removed the paint from the receiver, which now looks like @$%^&*(((. Guess I can go buy some Krylon, not my first choice. What's the best way to restore the finish or what is a good alternative method of finishing this type of reciever? Thanks in advance.

Duracoat is another option. A little more complicated to apply but imho a tuffer finish. jim

one or the other, the finish will at least be even that way
