I am looking for a scope for my Ruger 10/22 that I plan to use for casual benchrest shooting. I have narrowed my selection down to these three scopes: Barska 3.5-10x40IR AO Swat, Millett Tactical 4-16x50AO and the Mueller 4-16x50AO Tactical. I'm not interested in any other scopes than these as they fit my requirements. I would like to hear from those who own any of these scopes and why you like or dislike them.

Welcome aboard.

Is your 10/22 modded or stock?

A lot of folks have had good luck with the Muellers at rimfirecentral.com and there is a large following for them over there. Can't say for myself as I've never had one. Did look at a few and seemed adequate. The newest Millets that I've had the opportunity to closely examine at a couple comventions have, IMO, been very good despite being made in China. (All of the scopes listed, actually, are made in China.) Millet had made some significant upgrades in quality installed into the manufacturing facility in China that makes their scopes. Have a Barska 10-40X50 IR SWAT. Not impressed. Although better than the earlier Chinese scopes, it is, IMO, just below average for the market segment it is in. The newest Millets are easily better than the Barskas.

Watch out for the RFC hype! It's a sponsored sight and though a product may be perfectly good, too often the objectivity is lost in the "opinion"as a result of the sponsored hype.
Millet scopes have a very good reputation and are priced competitively.
