Anybody got any load data to share for MB 170gr.SWC or the Ranier 180gr HP? Or what have any of you 10mm fans had the best luck with loading for a Glock 20? I'm planning on doing some deer hunting with an auto pistol for the first time so any good hunting recipes welcome too...

9.5 grains of Longshot an 180 grain JHP - accurate in G20
Hodgdon data:
180 GR. SIE JHC Hodgdon Longshot Min COL=1.260" 8.5gn 1221fps 31,000 PSI 9.5gn 1287fps 34,600 PSI

I have a Glock20 and have worked up loads with many powders to the limit of the brass.

In published loads, Longshot looks great.

In work ups, it is insignificant compared to the power of 800X.

10mm and Longshot are made for each other. Very accurate with 180gr MG JHP or XTP's & meters great.
800x and AA #9 are also good choices for 10mm, but I still prefer LS.

Sounds like you speaketh the truth. I will give it a try...

My hunting load is a 180 gr. Golden Sabre over 10.8 grs. IMR-800x, Which achieves 1,406 FPS/792 ft/lbs in my 1006. But I don't think I'd run that load in a Glock, at least not with a stock barrel. By the numbers, this load is very near or slightly over the 37,500 PSI max.

THIS LOAD IS OVER MAXIMUM PUBLISHED DATA. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Wow, that sounds like 41mag power

10mm is my favorite caliber and use it for hunting as well, but I would not use a plated bullet for hunting. They just don't perform like a jacketed as far as expansion and weight retention. Gold Dots from Speer are the exception, the last time we looked at them they had 18 thousandths per side plating on them. This puts them close to a jacketed bullet as far as performance, but I still use a premium jacketed for hunting. I've been impressed with the Hornady products.

Longshot meters much better than 800X and has a smoother pressure curve. There is a definite end to ROI with Longshot. If 800X would meter as well as Longshot, I would use that instead.

9.2gr of Longshot behind anything 170-180gr will be very accurate. Nice medium-heavy load that's easy on the gun and the shooter as well as produces velocity like the 10mm Auto is known for.

What kind of accuracy have you all been able to get from say around 50yds with these velocities. I'm new to the 10mm and just wandering what to expect when I start some load testing of my own. I ordered the 5 3/8" LoneWolf ported barrell when it comes in I will start shooting. I like the idea of being able to do some hunting with an auto. I have always hunted exclusively with revolvers so I'm used to good accuracy.
