I have four triple K 7 round magazines; at least that’s what the guy I bought them from said they were (is there anyway I can know for sure?) and they all work flawlessly.

I’ve heard bad things about them but haven’t had a single problem, if my 1911works with 7 rnd triple K mags will it work with their ten rounders?

thanks. :)

don't know about the Triple K's, but my Chip McCormick 10 round Power Mag works really well. Have had zero failures with it.

Getting any Triple-K mag that works is a crap shoot.

I wouldn't bet all my marbles on the 10-rounders.

You should avoid any magazine made by Triple K.

I will second that. I have had more than one for more than one type of firearm and I can't recommend them.

Like the other guy said - a roll of the dice for those mags. I still have a bunch of 'em brand new in the plastic packaging that I don't know what the heck to do with. I had picked them up when the ban was still in effect 'cause they were cheap and pre-ban manufactured.

I'm tempted to use them for the range but none of them drop free without some filing and don't want 'em to damage my pistols. I'm afraid to sell them because I don't want to be responsible for someone using them in their carry gun or nightstand gun.

I try real hard not to use any magazines in my defensive weapons unless they're factory, Mec-Gar, or broken in (by me) military surplus.

USA magazines are probably worse than Triple K, but I wouldn't buy either on purpose, even for a good deal.

I've had poor luck with the Triple K magazines myself, but ...

I'll not argue with that.

It is noteworthy that Triple K is one of the few sources for new mags for obsolete/oddball guns.

KKK

Hmmmm.... No thanks, LOL

That's quite a stretch. :scrutiny:

Is there a way to know for sure that my four are in fact triple K magazines and not something else?

They don’t have triple K stamped on them anywhere.

I’m running them in a Norinco, and a friend of mine also has a Norico and has used them with no problems he has about 8 (he did have problems with some USA mags until fixed them).

I don’t know, it seems pretty lucky to me, if it is indeed luck.
