I've had no problems with Wilson(I own four) or Metal Form(I own ten). Both brands work flawlessly in a Springfield Mil-Spec, Springfield Loaded, and Kimber Gold Match. The Metal Form have metal followers.

I have ten Metal Form magazines with plastic followers for my 10mm 1911's that have 'issues.' I attribute the 'issues' to the plastic followers. It seems to be a softer plastic than I've seen in other type magazines that don't have problems. The two Dan Wesson Razorbacks both come with Metal Form OEM magazines. They have metal followers and work perfectly.

+1 for chip mccormick mags. i currently use only CMC shooting stars in 2 SA 1911s (a mil-spec and a loaded) and have never had a single problem. but as someone noted, every gun is different, even 2 of supposedly identical models, so always try one out first before buying multiples.

Regarding the ammoman "GI" magazines, they are supposedly junk... don't buy em.

These have been at the gun shows and on-line sellers for several years. One batch is a large rejected lot, code 30745. Whoever bought this lot went to alot of trouble to package them up in the fake wrapping, but considering that they probably got them for 25 cents each (or less), I guess selling them for $8 - $10 was worth the trouble. I bought a handful of these myself, and none of them would feed right.

Which matches the lot number on the magazines he is selling. I would steer cleer of him in general.

Oooh! Ooh! I found the perfect mags...

i bought $600 worth of metalform mags becuase i was not patient enough to do the group buy......ALL of them are TUNER specials, which means stainless steel, "becuase they are thicker and more durable than blue"... they are all 7 round, because all the experts said to get "ONLY" 7 rd capacity, all have the "dimple" follower, as well as all are welded bottom. , also all were ordered with the wolf extra power spring option../// in short they are SS 7 rd . welded bottom, extra power spring, dimpled follower... price is $20 each... will ship USPS priority , with deliver confirmation for $5... up to 7 mags... email me at [email protected] if interested... thanks....

USGI mags work form me in both my Springfield "GI-45" and Champion.

Hmmmm...where is the "Lot Number" on the GI mags?

Never mind...stamped on the baseplate. Sheeeeeshhh open eyes BEFORE striking keyboard.

Never economize on mags; this is like economizing on tires for your vehicle.

I like Wilson 47Ds and McC. Power Mags. I've heard the Tripp Cobra Mags are very good but haven't bought any yet.

Chip McCormic or Wilson Combat. I don't have anything that they won't work in.
