It's about all I run through my AR's. It's cheap, not very clean, but accurate enough to get the job done with ease. Some AR's run well with steel-case, some do not. I'd say purchase about 3 or 4 boxes of the stuff from a local gun shop and then if it runs well, buy a case from Centerfire (a good company, from my 3 or 4 experiences). All my AR's are built by me, so I can't speak for any manufacturer that would run better or worse with steel case. Some people advise against steel case, but in 4000+ rounds through 9 different AR's, I can say it has never caused any problems that have been unfixable through standard procedure for malfunctions. I'd say I've had maybe 12 bad rounds out of those 4000, with most being due to a brand new bolt carrier being stiff during the first few shots, causing the extractor to not do it's job. This quickly disappears, though. I hope this helps.
