I guessed ~$100K for a winning bid when it was still well under $20K. I'm starting to think I might have been way low on my guess. Currently $67K and 24 days to go. Wow .

I'm hoping there will be more more from other companies since I turn 21 this year and my first new handgun will be a 1911!!!

Has anyone heard if there will be any 100th anniversary runs?

As for the Colt, I would think it is priceless.. It really is something special.

OK....... time to have some most excellent fun here. How would you spend the amount of $$ of the winning bid? There is only ONE rule in this game; you can only spend it on firearm(s). This could go all the way from 1 (one) decent British double express rifle to slightly over 100 (one hundred) NIB CZ 97B's..........you get the picture.

I'm still making my list............

I admit that it is one pretty handgun, but the current bid price would pay off both my house and my car loan......

I think while not ugly, not my favorite either. I prefer my WWI Repro O1918 which cost me $899 plus shipping and transfer fee.
