10mm Auto

The 10mm Auto, as we know it today, was originally developed for the Bren Ten by Dornaus & Dixon Enterprises with technical advice and assistance from Jeff Cooper. There have been numerous .40 caliber wildcats developed for semiautos, but probably the person most deserving of the credit is Whit Collins. He was working on a .40 caliber cartridge to use in a modified Browning Hi-Power. Jeff Cooper heard about the project and joined in. Whit Collins eventually got involved in other projects and it was about this time that Dornaus & Dixon contacted Jeff Cooper about their ideas for the "ideal combat auto." The rest, as they say, is history!

Anyone have any info on the Shooters guns?? They do not list any pricing.

Any experience with them, durability etc.??

What I would really like to see is a commander or CCO 10mm from someone. I have a DW Razorback on order. Myself and others are lobbying DW to do a 10mm in the Commander or CCO, hopefully.

isaidme, congrats on the new Delta, I just got one myself.

CZ100, try www.georgia-arms.com better than $20/50.

how does this ammo from Georgia arms shoot? There priced are good.

CZ-100, If you start reloading you could shoot for a couple of hours on $20 worth of handloaded 10mm. My Glock 20 hasn't fired anything I didn't load in over a year because of my Dillon RL550B.

Yes this is true, but I just don;t have the time for that.

Georgia Arms 10mm.

Shoots great. Priced very reasonably.

I've now gone thru several cases of the 180gn FMJs, and about a case or so of their 155gn and 180gn Gold Dot HPs.

The accuracy of the Gold Dots is excellent, perfect for duty or personal defensive use. The 180gn FMJs are great for plinking and practice.

HTH. :)

I have #004, I've had some issues with it's performance, but DW sevice is outstanding.

I would rate the gun overall performance at an 8.

Fit, finish, accuracy = 10.

There have been feeding problems and also with the sites.

These problems are minor ones at best.

12-34hom.

I couldn't imagine a better platform for the 10mm auto than the CZ 97B. If CZ would ever produce it, I would TWO; one shooter, one safe queen.

Man, when the 10mm came out, I wasn't old enough to buy a handgun, and I wanted one a lot. Then I got older, and the cost of both the guns (well mostly I lusted over the delta elite) and the ammo never really got cheaper (heck it got more expensive).

But a 97b in 10mm with teh nice blued finish for a similar price...

I'd be owning a 10mm
