Now, before you go scratching your heads asking why the 1026 didn't out-do the G20's shorter barrel, it's because for some reason, my 1026 does this with just about every load. It just has a "slow" barrel. My Delta Elite always pushes the same load faster than both my 1026 and my G20, but since I have pretty much retired the Colt I don't include it in these tests too often. I don't think a few FPS either way really makes a difference anyway.

Now, the 6.5" 610 on the other hand, what a deer slayer it would be with these loads!

Also, polygonally rifled barrels tend to be "fast."

Too bad you don't have a 6" hunting bbl for your 20...

Yes, Glock barrels are typically faster than conventional rifled barrels of equal length, but the Colt seems to still edge the G20 out in the velocity department. Not a big deal. Like I said, a few FPS either way won't make a difference.

I do have a new factory Glock 6" barrel on the way.

Were these single-shot velocities or averages of more than one shot? If the latter, how many shots per string? Also, how were the extreme spreads and standard deviations?

I have 4 assorted boxes of this ammo but haven't tested it yet. However, my chrono testing on other factory 10mm loads shows velocities are often well below published numbers.

Posted velocities are based on 5 round averages. All loads had less than a 20fps difference between the slowest and fastest shot in a 5 round average. Advertised velocity for each load are as follows...

180gr. FMJ Match...1250fps
180gr. Gold Dot...1300fps
200gr. XTP...1250fps

The above advertised velocites are based on a Glock 20's 4.6" barrel.
