I just picked-up a used 1100 20ga. small frame with synthetic stocks, for my daughter to use. I need some help locating a set of synthetic youth stocks for it. I don't want to cut the full sized but stock as she will be able to use it later when she grows into it.

Can these stocks be purchased from Remington. I don't have a recent Remington catalog and my work internet blocks my from Remington's website. I could wait until I get home, I am just tooooo impatient.:D

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Brownell's carries them. Look here for "Reduced Length Stock Sets."

It's hard, mighty hard, to remove the butt stock of an 1100 without the proper tool. I understand that some people do it with a good, thick flatbladed screwdriver but I've tried and can't. I can do it easily on a Remington 870 but not on an 1100 or 11-87. So you might want to get a friendly local gunsmith who has the tool to do the switch for you. The charge shouldn't be much. Up to you.

Once the youth stock is on the shotgun your young lady is unlikely to ever want to switch to a regular stock, I think. Those reduced length stocks are liked by adult women of my acquaintance. I like them too.

Thanks for the help guys, I would have checked back sooner, but for some reason we have been haveing internet problems.

I found a set of Cabelas labeled stocks online in thier catalog,(one of the very few site that my work dosen't block) I called my local store and they are ordering in a set for me.

I cut and crowned the barrel to 21" while we are waiting for the stocks.

RH Thanks for the info on the stock removal, I had already made a tool to take the nut off.

I also ordered one of the Easyhit front sights for her. I had a sight ery similar to these many years ago and it helped me get a consistant mount.
