100% agree. I saw guys walking out of Cabelas with cases of waterfowl shells and I thought to myself waterfowl season is over. It then dawned on me that they were buying just to buy it.Once all the handgun ammo was gone, everyone bought up all rifle ammo. Once all the rifle ammo was gone, everyone bought up every single piece of lead they could buy including shotgun target loads!
Absolutely stupidness in the shooting sports!
Not 100% true; I shoot a LOT of targets; last time they had 3 flats (30 boxes) of Winchester AAs; I bought 10 and I try to do that every time I go so I can continue to shoot as much as I want. Anyone buying up target ammo and trying to scalp is not a factor; it's the folks who shoot a lot - like me - that will buy it up.I managed to get 2 boxes of #7 and 2 boxes of # 8 at walmart the other day. Just lucked out. Same price I have been paying before all this. Talked to the guy that heads the sports department. He said he gets no info on when or what kind of ammo will come in. He said they would like to put a limit of one box per day per customer but walmart corp. Will not let them. It's the people that buy up the ammo and then try to sell at rediculous prices and the idiot's that pay it. They are the problem. The manufacturers are putting out more than ever. There is no shortage. Don't get sucked into paying the rediculous prices. Let them sit on. I like to shoot as much as anybody but I'm not going to be an idiot about it.
Nothing is a 100% true. But, where I live there is Nothing on the shelves. No target anything, handgun, shotgun, rifle. And, No anything else, Hunting or PP rounds of any kind. There has always been plenty of target shooters around. I'm one. But very seldom any target load shortage. I know a lot of people are buying target loads because that's all they can get. But it still boils down to the same thing. Not 100% true; I shoot a LOT of targets; last time they had 3 flats (30 boxes) of Winchester AAs; I bought 10 and I try to do that every time I go so I can continue to shoot as much as I want. The closest Walmart still has the 100 packs of el cheapo target loads(not many but a few on the shelf)---didn't pay attention to the price as I'm already set but just took note that they had some.
