147gr 9-mm

AFAIK the 147 gr bullet was brought out to have a subsonic bullet for use with surpressors.

Which is best for SD? I don't think it really makes a difference. Be sure the bullet feeds and is reasonably accurate. I find the 147 gr to be more accurate in S&W, Beretta, and Taurus but that may just be me.

I stay away from +P and +P+ except in 38 special, K frame or larger. You really don't gain much and get more muzzle blast and recoil. My idea of a +P+ 9mm is a 38 super or .357 SIG. If you need more gun get more gun don't try to make one something its not.

With a properly designed bullet, there is very little difference between the mid-weights and the heavy-weights:
