16 Gauge bolt action shot gun

I have a old Jc Higgins Bolt action shot gun.On one side of the barrell it says J C Higgens Model 20-12 GA sears, robuck and co. 583.58 but on the other side says Proof Tested 16 GA.-Full 2 3/4 Chamber .Can any one tell me about this gun.I looked up the sears number and it said it was a pump gun??????
