1851 Bolt "Slipping"

You may not like what I'm trying.

The new bolt is thinner than the original. It stays in place because of the screw, great!
it resets now, I ground out the leg geometry.
It's still too thin. So, I'm trying out a small jury rig. Give me a little more time.
 
Hee hee hee.. I got it working by doing the stupidest thing ever... I had to use leather as a spacer to spread the legs apart. Now, the timing is alright ( as far as I can tell, remember that this is my first ), and it resets properly. So far, the only downside is that it's not as smoother on the decock ( that is, when I manually pull the hammer down to decock it). It shot all six caps flawlessly. I might epoxy the leather to ensure it doesn't fall out. But it works.

I would like to thank each and every one of you, even if all you did was look. I hope to someday become as knowledgeable as some of you ( 45 Dragoon).
